Mark is an attorney with more than 40 years of experience in tax and business consulting and compliance, and with more than 30 years of experience in estate planning.  Mark began his career with the international accounting firm of Ernst & Young, where he was a tax manager and directed the employee benefits consulting practice for the Denver office. 

 

In 1993, Mark left Ernst & Young to begin his own law practice.  In 2011, he co-founded BISLAW.  Mark’s practice now emphasizes estate planning as well as small business tax and legal work.  

 

Mark’s experience in the estate planning area is extensive. He has designed and implemented both simple and complex estate plans, including family limited partnerships and LLCs, charitable trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, and revocable living trusts.  

 

In the area of business law, Mark has advised many new businesses in choice of entity and tax matters.  In addition, he has assisted clients with the purchase and sale of their businesses and with business continuation planning.
